Abstract

This research aims at shedding the light on the syntactic phenomenon of “Brotherhood in Arabic Syntax”. It is divided into an introduction, a preamble, three chapters and a conclusion. Accordingly, this research attempts to provide answers for several questions including:

Is there “syntactic brotherhood”? Does the term “Brotherhood” exist in books and resources of past syntacticans?
What is mean by “syntactic brotherhood”? what is it used for? (and) what are its most significant purposes?

Significance of this study is due to being concerned with tackling one of the syntactic phenomena which is implicitly referred to by linguists and syntacticans in their books (i.e. syntactic brotherhood). Thus, the researcher found it necessary to do this linguistic research because of not having a full past research about “brotherhood” in Arabic syntax based on (the extent of the researcher’s readings and knowledge).
