Abstract

This research studied the sources and their implications in the book entitled: " clarifying the obscure with Reference to Lamiat al-Ajam by Abu Juma al-Maghusi ". It aimed to clarify the structures of the sources in Abu Juma’ al-Maghusi’s explanation to the Lamiat al-Ajam of al-Tughra’i, clarifying the concept of the source according to the morphists, and the relationship between the structures of the sources and their verbs in terms of meaning, as al-Maghusi clarified in his explanation. To achieve this, the researcher adopted the descriptive inductive method. This research is significant as  it provides  the reader with  a work by Abu Jumaa al-Maghusi through which he explains one of the chapters of Arabic morphology, which is regarded as an evident  source  of morphology and language; that leads to the  eloquent Arabic poetry represented in the lexicology of Lamiat al-Ajam that Abu Jumaa relied on in clarifying the sources contained in its Fifty-nine verses.  The research concluded that Al-Tughrai used in his Lamia the standard and auditory triplet sources as explained by Abu Juma Al-Maghusi, and what came from them other than the triplet was additive with one letter and additive with two letters
