Abstract

Through this research, I tackled and provided the definition of stylistics through research in dictionaries and lexicons. This is in addition to scrutinizing approaches of stylistics in the old and modern Arabic heritage, and the pioneers of each approach. After that, the researcher investigated and reviewed the issues that belongs to stylistics in western culture, and the Arabic studies that are related to this  approach. Finally, I concluded this research  with some results using a lot of references and resources within this research.
