The current study is based on a basic hypothesis: that there is a mutual and interrelated relationship between the ownership of agricultural land and the economic empowerment of rural women, the eradication of the phenomenon of widespread poverty among women, and the realization of truly sustainable human development. Using the re-analysis method, the study found the following:1- Despite the resolution of divine religions, international agreements and national laws regarding the independence of women’s financial responsibility and their right to inheritance, Christian and Muslim women in rural Egypt are still disadvantaged and suffer from deprivation of their legal inheritance (in cash and in kind) for various and different reasons.2- As a result of the international efforts of a number of international organizations, a group of agreements have emerged that many countries of the world have signed, obligating those countries to achieve equality and non-discrimination against women. For the sake of obtaining ownership and possession of agricultural land, and good management. These agreements were able to achieve some successes in the field of women's empowerment, but it was not able to achieve the desired goals of sustainable development in rural Egypt.3- Discrimination against women's rights to property and possession is still the prevailing rule in the Egyptian countryside.
According to the results of the study, the following is recommended: Paying attention to raising the economic level of rural women, by eliminating the phenomenon of poverty that is widespread among many groups of rural women. This will not be possible except by obtaining her legal inheritance of funds and agricultural lands, which will enable her to access all sources, resources and services available in society. The Egyptian state must also address the actual and legal discrimination against rural women, using a number of strategies developed by sociologists and economists, to empower women in all fields
