Psychological hardness and its relationship to suicidal ideation A sample of Ain Shams University students

Abstract

The study aimed to study psychological hardness and its relationship to suicidal thoughts among a sample of Ain Shams University students. ) and their number (92) male and female students divided equally, and their ages ranged in both groups from (18: 24) years, and the descriptive correlative approach was used, and the psychological hardness scale and the suicidal tendency scale were used in this study, and the results of the study reached: There are A statistically significant correlation between psychological hardness and its dimensions (commitment - control - challenge) and suicidal ideation among university studentsThere is also a statistically significant effect on psychological hardness and suicidal ideation due to the gender variable (in favor of males), but by a small percentage among Ain Shams University students. In a small percentage among Ain Shams University students, and there is also a statistically significant effect between psychological hardness and both (suffering from psychological stress, family disputes, and friend disputes), and there is no statistically significant effect between suicidal ideation, psychological stress, and family disputes.
