Abstract

Intentionally as a field of research lies among the topics of mind philosophy and is also regarded as one of its most problematic research topics. This is because there are several theories and complete philosophical approaches about the theory of intentionality as it is difficult or even problematic to scrutinize and tackle its philosophical elements to the point that made the well-known and prominent American philosopher "John Searle" describe it as "problematic". Searle described it when talking about the problems of philosophy as "intentionally comes the second in problems of mind philosophy after the issue consciousness which lies in the first position of philosophical problems".
The problematicity of intentionality is a direct reflection of the problem of consciousness as it is a resilient evidence of the strong connection between them. Intentionality is the personal inclination to something or its inclination to what is suitable to the intention. There are philosophers who call it (intellectual inclination). Concerning consciousness, it is the mental state through which one could recognize and realize realities and facts occurring in the world around us.
