Spatial analysis of the Demographic access in Cairo Governorate, a study in population geography and Development

Abstract

   The stage of demographic gift is a major development challenge that must be prepared for and invested well in order to act as a driving force for society development, because negative dealing with this phenomenon and wasting it, makes it a pressure force on development.
    The importance of the study lies in knowing the impact of the indicators and trends of the demographic transition, in defining the features of the demographic window, and assessing the relationship between the demographic gift and economic and social growth in Cairo Governorate, in addition to assisting decision makers in taking optimal demographic policies to deal positively with the demographic gift.
    The study followed the descriptive method, the objective approach, the historical approach, in addition to the cartographic method represented by the Geographic Information Systems GIS, and the statistical method, in addition to the use of many statistical sources. The study showed that the Cairo governorate did not benefit as required from the demographic gift, and there is also a waste of this demographic opportunity.
    The study recommended the need to invest in the demographic gift, especially in districts; Torah, Zamalek, Qasr Al-Nil, Heliopolis, Nozha, Abdeen, Azbakeya, Bab Al-Shariya , Rawd Al-Farag, Al-Waili, Shubra, al-Musky, Bulaq, Al-Sahel, Al-Zahir, and Al-Zaytoun.
