Abstract

There is no doubt that the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet are the first sources of legislation, as the Qur’an is the word of God, and the Sunnah is its statement. Because it is the statement of this great book, some people have challenged the Sunnah of the Prophet - may God bless him and grant him peace - in terms of the possibility of the error of the narrators as being humans. This is false and a challenge of the Sunnah.
From this point of view, this research shows God's preservation of the Sunnah, and the infallibility of the Sunnah from human error of the narrators. What is said about them was not proven. The nation is infallible; however, the individuals are not. The study consists of two parts and a conclusion. The first part: the infallibility of the Sunnah and its evidence, and the second part: The narrators who were described wrong in one hadith, and a conclusion, which includes the most important results.
It was concluded that the Sunnah is preserved by the evidence of the Qur’an, the Sunnah, and the historical facts. Furthermore, the results have shown that the errors occurred from some of the trustworthy narrators were limited.  Some of those narrators were described mistaken in one hadith that was not proven against them.  Human error is possible, but the Sunnah is infallible.
