Emotional intelligence measure among university students

Abstract

The goal of the current research is to provide Psychometrics with an appropriate scale to measure the emotional intelligence of university students; the final picture of the emotional intelligence scale has been reached; it contains  (4 4) items, distributed on three sub-dimensions, respectively (after emotional knowledge-after controlling emotions or managing emotions- After social skills), the scale was applied to a sample of ( 1 00 ) male and female students of Aswan University students selected randomly from several faculties of the University; the emotional intelligence scale enjoyed acceptable stability and honesty scores at the level of ( 05'0  -01'0); this indicates the honesty of the scale in what it was developed for and the scale can be applied in any study that contains the emotional intelligence variable compatibility of the individual with his environment.
