Analysis Of the Street Network in The City of Delangat Using Geomatics Technology

Abstract

      This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the distribution of the street network in Delangat, identify its geographical distribution patterns, and assess its efficiency through quantitative and urban analysis. The study also aims to address the limitations that affect its efficiency and propose appropriate solutions.
    The study utilized descriptive and analytical models, incorporating historical and analytical approaches. Various techniques were employed, including reading, geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing (RS), and fieldwork. The findings revealed several significant points:
- Delangat is classified as a low-ranking city based on node connectivity.
- The streets in Delangat lack prominent landmarks.
- The city exhibits weak levels of socio-economic development due to low. network connectivity compared to the Gamma index.
- The commercial center (CBD) is characterized by extensive building coverage, particularly in the old entrance area (High Gravity).
- Indicators show increased activity in Salah Salem, Ezbet Al-Sawy, Zagazig streets in Al-Ansari area, as well as Al-Sudan, Hamouda, Al-Alimi, and Abu Salem streets in Hamouda area.
