The idea of this research revolves around extracting the theological opinions of Imam Ahmad Ibn Idris through his writings, after clarifying his position on theology.
Accordingly, this research tackles the divine attributes, reviewing the position of Imam Ahmad Ibn Idris regarding them. Additionally, this research points out that Imam Ahmad Ibn Idris inferred the necessity of proving the attributes of Allah the Almighty with evidence of the existence of newly created things. In this regard, this is the same evidence used by theologians regarding the necessity of proving the attributes of Allah the Almighty. In his guide, he also indicated the necessity of adding attributes to the self, following the example of previous theology scholars and Imams.
Concerning the predicative attributes, Imam Ahmad Ibn Idris’s position was in agreement with the doctrine of the majority of the Salaf who believed in delegation.
