The future of the oil industries in the State of Kuwait - a study in Economic geography

Abstract

The oil industry is one of the largest industries in Kuwait, covering nearly half of the gross domestic product. Oil is Kuwait’s most important export. Kuwait is the seventh largest oil exporter in the world and is a founding member of OPEC. Kuwait’s oil reserves are estimated at 104 billion barrels, equivalent to 10% of the world’s oil reserves. Oil reserves in the world. The largest oil field in Kuwait is the Burgan field, which is the second largest oil field in the world.
The study aims to shed light on the structure of the oil, extractive and transformational industries in the State of Kuwait, as well as their spatial distribution, and to know the most important components of industrial settlement and their effects on the establishment of the oil industry, as well as to highlight the importance of the oil industry as it is a vital hub that revitalizes all productive sectors in the State of Kuwait.
