Specificity of Vision and Aesthetics of the Tool in Plays of (Melha Abdullah) "Lady of Saudi Theater": A Sociological Artistic Approach

Abstract

This research aims at monitoring the features of the intellectual and aesthetic specificity of Melha Abdullah’s theatrical experience, by examining the writer’s vision that was manifested within her theatrical works. Therefore, one could scrutinize the aesthetics that contributed to formulating that vision artistically. accordingly, the research was titled (“Specificity of the Vision and the Aesthetics of the Tool” in the theatrical experience of Melha Abdullah "Lady of the Saudi Theater": A Sociological Artistic approach) in order to study the most prominent connotations and mechanisms in that experience.
Through this study, this researcher relied on the sociological approach, which examines the social patterns within the writer’s plays and provides interpretations and explains their cognitive contents through linking the social phenomenon to the contents of the theatrical texts, to the ideas and to visions that permeate them. It also relied on the artistic approach, which investigates the techniques of the text in order to access the tools and aesthetic elements that the writer employed within her theatrical texts scrutinized in this study.
