The phenomenon of cyber bullying against working women through social media sites in light of the Egyptian reality: a field study

Abstract

cyber bullying of working women is one of the negative phenomena that resulted from modern communications technology and scientific development in this field. With the increase in the use of the Internet and social media platforms, it is not surprising that these tools are being used to harm others, and with the emergence and spread of the dangerous Corona virus, which has increased the use of modern devices, such that their numbers in almost every home have increased, and which depend primarily on the Internet, as they meet... The needs of different societal groups and are therefore more misused. The spread of cyberbullying increases among these groups, as it leaves negative effects on both the bully and the victim alike, such as isolation, depression, or weakness or interruption of social relationships.

The study concluded: The study indicated that cyber bullying against working women who are exposed to it, whether in the work environment or outside it, has psychological and social effects, but the most widespread effects are the psychological effects felt by most women who have been exposed to electronic bullying, and the most common of these effects are psychological stress, anxiety, as well as It drives some people into depression and isolation from people, and it also causes them to lose a great deal of confidence in those around them. women who are exposed to electronic bullying do not have the courage to reveal it, nor even the ability to confront and stop these electronic attacks.
