This study is concerned with tackling developing psychological flexibility for mothers of children with cancer with the main aim of lowering psychological pressures for them. In addition, this study is concerned with investigating influences of lowering such psychological pressures in enhancing the psychological aspects for their children. For achieving objectives of the study, two scales were prepared: the first scale is for investigating psychological flexibility, and the second one is for measuring psychological pressures. Moreover, attention was paid to ensuring psychometric sufficiency for the two scales. This is in addition to preparing a cognitive psychological program. The two scales were applied to the concerned mothers and attention was paid to having variance in their demographic features including (age, education, the child’s type of cancer, the mother’s marital status). Hypotheses of the study were treated statistically in the light of size of the study sample (N=150), nature of hypotheses, the used tools of the study. The study reached a group of findings, the most important of which is that flexibility and pressures vary based on variance of demographic variables. Furthermore, the proposed cognitive psychological program has proven its efficiency in enriching psychological flexibility and in lowering psychological pressures for the sample of the experimental study (N=10).
