Abstract

The current research sought to uncover private tutoring centers and their social effects on human capital. To achieve this goal, the research relied on the descriptive method and a questionnaire tool was used. The research was applied to a non-random (purposive) sample of (320) high school students attending private lessons centers in one of the neighborhoods of Cairo Governorate. The research reached several results, the most important of which are: exposure of students, their families, and society to a range of risks as a result of taking private lessons, including a diminished role in the school, a weak spirit of belonging, a decrease in the family budget, deprivation of community participation with relatives and friends, the deterioration of the student’s health, loss of time, and loss of initiative. Students think that there is no time for activities and entertainment for students.
The research recommended the need for the effective presence of the school, activating school activities - cultural, sports, artistic, technical, entrepreneurial, etc., that increase the skills and knowledge of students in various fields, and spreading awareness among students and families of the importance of the school to advance the student at the health, academic, and various skills that represent capital. Good news.
