Abstract

The history of Egypt, as an agricultural country, is characterized by the duality of animals and birds. This is because animals have a great position in its residents' lives. Due to the importance of animals in production, and human dependence on them as a source of food, and  due to importance of animals in many field works and social and economic activities in Islamic Egypt, which was an era characterized by abundant social economic activity; it is significant to scrutinize both animals and birds in Islamic Egypt. This is in addition to the transition of the use of animals and birds from the realm of necessity to the realm of entertainment in advanced stages of life. The history of Islamic Egypt is characterized by stability and prosperity. For all the aforementioned reasons, the people of Egypt and its inhabitants resorted to raising and caring for various forms of animals and birds.
