The effect of an electronic educational program in developing verbal communication skills among mild intellectual disability children with communication disorder in the Jazan region

Abstract

The study was conducted to identify the effect of an instructional e-learning program on the development of verbal communication skills among children with mental disabilities in Jazan Region. The researcher used the experimental descriptive method and based on one group method (tribal measurement and post-measurement) In addition, a random sample of 30 students was selected from students with a mild mental disability accompanied by a communication disorder. The researcher used statistical methods for the social sciences (SPSS) depent to T test and correlation coefficient test variation and percentages and frequencies.
The most important results of the research: Students with simple mental disabilities suffer from poor verbal communication skills; there are statistically significant differences between pre-measurement and telemetry in favor of telemetry. There is an impact of the electronic learning program in developing verbal communication skills in children with simple mental disabilities, and there are factors that affect the communication skills of mentally disabled people.
The study recommended the importance of teachers to develop the skills of verbal communication for students with intellectual disabilities through use of educational programs designed to treat the problems of verbal communication.
