This study aims to identify the reality of big data in the libraries of South Valley University and the extent of employees' awareness in the university libraries about big data and their skills and ability to employ big data technologies within libraries. The study used the descriptive analytical approach to describe and analyze the actual reality of big data within libraries and their infrastructure, In addition to the field survey approach to scan the university libraries and their employees, The study population consisted of 91 university library employees in 23 colleges, The study used a number of data collection tools: questionnaire, checklist, and personal interview. The study reached several results, the most important of which are: Poor employees' awareness of university library about big data and weak infrastructure; The most Highlights of the study is a plan to employ big data technologies in developing information services in university libraries.
