Psychological Stress and its Relationship with work Motivation among Kindergarten Teachers

Abstract

The research aimed to identify the level of psychological stress and work motivation, and to investigate the relationship between psychological stress and work motivation, and verifying the possibility of predicting the degree of psychological stress through the degree of work motivation among kindergarten teachers at the education administration of Jazan. The descriptive approach was used, as the study sample consisted of (130) kindergarten teachers at the education administration of Jazan, It was selected by Random method, In order to achieve the research’s aims, and examine the hypotheses; the scales of psychological stress and work motivation was used. The researcher also used (SPSS) to process the data analysis using, Pearson correlation coefficient, one sample T-test, Multiple Regression Analysis. The results showed that there was medium level of psychological stress (emotional stress, academic stress, economic stress, and the general scale), a low level of social stress, a high level of family stress, and a high level of work motivation (general scale and sub scale). The results also indicated that there was a statistically significant relationship between psychological stress (general scale and sub scale) and work motivation (general scale and sub scale), and the possibility of predicting psychological stress through work motivation among kindergarten teachers at the education administration of Jazan.
