Characteristics of the population in rural and urban of Edfu

The study dealt with the characteristics of the population in the countryside and urban Edfu Center, and the study aims to prepare a strategic plan for the study area, and analyze and present the quantitative aspects of the human element represents the evolution of the population size, growth rates, distribution and density of the population and their characteristics by age groups, age and other characteristics that can be analyzed and come up with the most important demographic indicators for the rural population and urban Edfu Center. And its impact on future growth to determine the features of the expected population profile, and then can be used in population estimates. In his study, the researcher followed the descriptive analytical approach as an optimal method in processing the data of the subject of the study, by investigating the phenomenon, its elements, the factors affecting it and its link to other elements. The study of the population of Edfu Center showed an increase in the population, as their number reached in the 2017 census to record 460,160 people, so that the center of Edfu became at the top of the centers of Aswan Governorate, as it still retains the relative weight of the population throughout most population censuses. It is noted that the population growth rates of the center of Edfu remained below those at the governorate level until 1966, after which the population growth rates of the center increased, until it reached in the last censuses.
