This study deals with the legal status of women within Burgundian society in light of Burgundian laws, clarifying the rights and protection granted to women in light of those laws, and finding out whether the implementation of the laws is questionable, and whether it lacks the effectiveness of implementation. Due to the political instability in that period, and although it is difficult to accurately determine the margins of difference between theory and practice, what is certain is that there is a difference to some degree between them. The study and analysis also deals with the most important items that concern Burgundian women; Whether from the public or private class, and clarifying the special conditions stated in those clauses to preserve the Burgundian woman in herself, her religion, her money, and her property, and to empower her in Burgundian society, Under these laws, women - although they did not have full legal equality with men - enjoyed many rights and freedoms, as the Burgundian laws were neutral to Roman laws, and the rights of Burgundian women were supported in the style of Roman laws in the sixth century in a more effective and neutral way than The Frankish Women's Law, which constitutes a background for understanding the situation of Burgundian women in that era.
