The research aims to identify the urban growth of the city, in addition to monitoring the encroachment on agricultural land. The study used the descriptive analytical approach, and relied on the historical approach when tracing the stages of the city's growth, and also relied on the objective approach, and used three methods: cartography, remote sensing, and geographic information systems. The study concluded with several results, including: - The small built-up area of the town of Al-Rahmaniyah until 1949, did not exceed 0.19 km2, which represents 4.4% of the built-up area in 2020 - The largest growth rate of the urban mass of the town of Rahmaniya appeared during the period from 2000 AD - 2010, as the average annual increase reached 145.7 thousand m2. - The urban growth of Al-Rahmaniyah town during the period from 2011 to 2020 coincided with the expansion of transportation routes in the town. - There was a change in the use of 100 acres of the city’s agricultural area during the period from 2000 to 2020, during which agricultural land lost 74 acres, while the positive change area was estimated at no more than 26 acres
