The Asir region is one of the administrative regions that form the structure of the map of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Its area is more than 79.6 thousand square kilometers, and its population is more than 2 million people. The importance of the location is due to assessing the reality of pre-university government education in the Asir region and its relationship with its population. Its study aims to identify on the reality of pre-university government education in the Asir region, evaluating some of its indicators. The study of the subject relied on the regional and objective approach, and used quantitative methods to build the dissertation’s tables, which numbered 20 tables and 4 appendices, and the cartographies that reflected the relationship of phenomena to each other in more than 30 forms.
The research dealt with the study of several elements: spatial analysis of the distribution of the region’s population. Distribution of the material and human elements of the pre-university government education service and its students. And a study of some indicators of the pre-university government education service. The study ended with a conclusion including the imbalance in the distribution of population, schools, classes, students, and teachers at the level of the region’s governorates. This became clear from studying special indicators such as the average school service for area and population, the teacher’s share of students, and crowding of students in classes. The study presented proposals, including increasing the number of schools, classes, and teachers in large governorates. Area and population, such as Abha, Khamis Mushait, and it used a good number of Arab and foreign references that covered the methodological and analytical aspects of the research.
