Abstract

The study aimed to identify the phonological awareness for the autism spectrum disorder children, which includes a variety of spectral disorders that affect communication and social interaction.
One of the main challenges faced by children with autism spectrum disorder is receptive language impairment, and this greatly affects their ability to understand and interact with spoken language around them.
Phonological awareness appears in this context as a critical tool in the development of receptive language in these children. The ability to understand and distinguish speech sounds and vocal tones is an essential part of consciousness. Phonology that greatly affects the development of phonological awareness plays a prominent role in enhancing the ability of children with autism spectrum disorder to learn and process linguistic information better.
 In this study, in addition in studying the importance of phonological awareness in the development of receptive language in children with autism spectrum disorder; the study will reflects how improving phonological awareness affects other important linguistic aspects such as phonetic and phonological recognizability, language interaction and reading and writing skills.
