Sufi Maqamat Tourism in Egypt : "A Study in the Geography of Tourism"

Abstract

Religious tourism sheds light on holy places or places with religious significance that people pilgrimage to worship and bless. It also offers religious tourism that seeks to satisfy the spiritual side of man and get closer to God and offers the tourist rich programs with rituals of each religion or belief, and visitors find in its attractive patterns of arts, customs, traditions, clothes, and souvenirs, in addition to religious ceremonies associated with the ceremonies of each religion.
Sufism is an old phenomenon found in most religions. Sufi thought calls for asceticism, piety, and self-struggle. The study's objective is to investigate, from a regional standpoint, how Egyptian Sufi orders influence culture and travel seasons. The investigation also came to several conclusions. The most important of which is the contribution of the Sufi tourism sector by a small percentage in the national income up to (2%) despite the large number of devotees and attributed to the marginalization of this pattern
          The large number of devotees is attributed to the marginalization of this pattern, despite the spread of shrines throughout the Republic. The study also recommended the need to develop tourism services available for development and develop and exploit them optimally to be able to reach several recommendations aimed at placing them on the global tourism map, with the need to establish exhibitions and spread cultural awareness among citizens, and the extent to which they can be developed and exploited optimally to be able to reach several recommendations aimed at placing them on the global tourism map.
