Administrative urbanization and changing quality of life in the Waqf city in Qena Governorate : A field sociological study

Abstract

The research aimed to evaluate the availability of the demographic components for the possibility of rural-urban transformation of the waqf. It also aimed to survey the most prominent features of the social, economic and ecological (urban) change that occurred in the quality of life among the residents of the study community, to identify the satisfaction of the members of the study community with the reality of the changes in their quality of life and their gain. New urban cultural characteristics, identifying the obstacles to administrative urbanization to improve the quality of life for the residents of the Waqf City and how to confront them. The researcher relied on the case study method and the sample social survey method. She also used the historical method by presenting the historical development of the Waqf City through historicaleras,and she use the tool Questionnaire and interview guide.  In light of its objectives and the tools used, the current   study relied on two types of analysis: quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis, Quantitative analysis
The study relied on quantitative data resulting from the statistical analysis of the questionnaire form that was applied to a sample of (210) individuals. The quantitative statistical analysis plan for the questionnaire included the Spss program, and the use of simple descriptive statistical models: such as frequency distributions,percentages,arithmeticmeans and standard deviations                                                                                     
These quantitative aspects were complemented by qualitative data collected using an interview guide with a number of (10) in-depth cases, as this data played an essential role in deepening the quantitative data.
 
 The research reached a set of results, perhaps the most important of which are: residents’ dissatisfaction with health and recreational services in the city, and this is reflected in the quality of the individual’s life due to the lack of their daily needs and demands.It also reached residents’ satisfaction with housing in the city, and this is a positive indicator of The individual's quality of life
