Abstract

The current study aimed to reveal the contribution of causal attribution to psychological stress in predicting professional competence among a sample of workers in medical professions at South Valley University. The study also aimed to reveal the contribution of causal attribution to psychological stress in predicting psychological burnout among a sample of workers in medical professions at South Valley University. The study sample consisted of (180) medical professionals at South Valley University (doctors, nurses, administrators), and the current study relied on the scale of causal attribution of psychological stress (prepared by the researcher), the professional competence scale (prepared by the researcher), and the psychological burnout scale (prepared by Maslach). After conducting statistical analyzes using the SPSS program, the results of the study concluded that the dimensions of causal attribution of psychological stress contribute to predicting professional competence among a sample of workers in medical professions at South Valley University, and also the contribution of causal attribution to psychological stress in predicting psychological burnout among a sample of workers in the professions.
