This paper sheds light on the philosophy of divine action of Peter van Inwagen, the prominent American philosopher who is known for his contributions to analytic philosophy, especially on issues of free will and divine knowledge. Van Inwagen presents a complex perspective on the relationship between divine knowledge and free will, and he is considered one of the proponents of the view that this relationship raises profound philosophical problems. This research aims to explore the metaphysics of divine action in the philosophy of Peter van Inwagen by analyzing his ideas on divine freedom, natural laws, and interpretations of evil. The research will also address how he reconciles the idea of divine intervention with a world governed by laws and freedom, contributing to a deeper understanding of the relationship between God and humanity within the framework of contemporary philosophy.
