This research aims to identify the most important meanings of the indefinite noun in Musnad Al-Shihab by Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Salamah Al-Quda’i; Given the striking presence of the indefinite noun with its different connotations, and we have seen a diverse monitoring of these different connotations of magnification, diversification, multiplication, reduction, and separation between types, the indefinite noun also has a special position in speech, as it indicates different meanings that may not be achieved by the definite noun, and one of the most important meanings that it achieves - from my point of view - is that it summarizes the structure of the composition with the meaning in which it is, and the research concluded that the indefinite noun's connotation of singularity had the largest share in the words mentioned in the hadiths mentioned in Musnad al-Shihab, followed by the indefinite noun's connotation of disparagement, and its connotation of separation between types, as they were less frequent, in addition to the fact that the noun's connotation of commonness is the criterion for judging the noun as indefinite.
