Abstract

The current study aimed to explore the differences between the mothers of children with autism spectrum disorder in post-traumatic growth according to some demographic variables (age - marital status - job - the order of the affected child in the family - the child's taking sedative drugs or not - the child follows a diet or not - the number of affected children in the family), and the study sample consisted of (73) mothers, aged between (20-52) years with an average age of (37.38) years and a standard deviation of (5.78) years± and applied to the sample: Post-traumatic growth scale prepared by Tedeschi & Calhoun (1996); translated by Kira, et al, 2013), demographic data form, the psychometric effectiveness of the instruments was verified and the results found that there was no significant effect of all demographic variables (age - marital status - job - ranking of the affected child in the family - the child taking sedative drugs or not - the child follows a diet or not - the number of infected children in the family) in post-traumatic growth in mothers of children with autism spectrum disorder, where the values of "P" in these indicators were not statistically significant.
