Abstract

This research seeks to address a broad, important, and highly sensitive question: What is the role of psychology in advancing civilization and providing a significant psychological dimension to culture? It relies on the analytical framework of Freud's psychological theories to uncover the perpetual ambiguity surrounding the human psyche, both conscious and unconscious, as it fluctuates between ascension and descent, with its profound impacts on human life, civilization, and progress.
This progress is closely tied to psychological struggle aimed at emergence and growth. Undoubtedly, civilization is not lame but walks on two legs: the first is material development in all its forms, and the second is spiritual and emotional development, embodied in the human experience in all its dimensions. Psychology, with its content and analytical perspective, serves as an example of this. It represents ambition, transcendence, and aspiration, enabling individuals, through Freudian psychoanalysis, to better confront life's harsh realities, rising above its trivialities to continue the journey of progress and civilizational advancement.
Therefore, this research serves as a comprehensive exploration of various aspects, delving into Freudian subjectivity, the foundations of psychoanalysis, civilization, and culture. Finally, it draws on the psychological dimensions of civilization, encompassing political, ethical, religious, and social aspects, with a special focus on women as a model.
