This research examines and analyzes the personality of Abu al-Fadl Muhammad ibn Tahir al-Maqdisi, known as Ibn al-Qaysarani (d. 507 AH), as one of the leading figures in reformist Sunni Sufism in the fifth century AH. He combined the science of hadith with a disciplined Sufi experience. I aimed through this research to study a distinctive model of a reformist Sufi who sought to reform Sufism from within, while preserving its authentic spirit and educational objectives. This is an attempt on my part to shed light on this important Sufi figure of the fifth century AH, who has not received the attention he deserves, unlike other reformist Sufis of this century, such as al-Qushayri and al-Ghazali. In this research, I have adopted the historicalal approache, Analytical approachand comparative approache, as the research required. I will present Ibn al-Qaysarani's life and the state of Sufism during his era through a historical approach. which I will also use the analytical approach to analyze his Sufi side. Through the texts included in his various works, I will also use the comparative approach to compare his views with those of other scholars and Sufis.
