This research aims to explore and analyze the reality of public secondary education students in Qena Governorate using the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, as a national platform for digital learning that aims to support the educational process and provide diverse and modern knowledge sources. The descriptive analytical method was used to monitor the phenomenon and study its dimensions, by applying a questionnaire to a representative stratified random sample of (398) students from various educational departments in the governorate. The study addressed a number of main topics, including: account creation rates, level of use, purposes and frequency of use of the platform, students’ preferences related to language and information sources, their evaluation of research methods, in addition to the reasons that prevent use, and development proposals from their point of view. The results showed that (70.4%) of students reported using the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, while (29.6%) indicated that they did not use it, due to obstacles represented by not having accounts, weak guidance and training, and lack of motivation. The results also showed that the majority use the platform for the purposes of studying and scientific research, and prefer to access it through smartphones, with a clear tendency to use the Arabic language in research. Among the most prominent recommendations are: the need to facilitate registration procedures, intensify training programs, improve the technological infrastructure within schools, and develop applications dedicated to smart phones, in a way that enhances the effectiveness of the Egyptian Knowledge Bank in supporting secondary education.
